Borderline Supporter – Have You Forgotten How to Do This

=>PLEASE FORWARD TO FRIENDS, FAMILY AND LOVED ONES <=

Hi ,

How's it going?

I hope you're having a great
day.

I was thinking about the Olympics.

About how the people who
compete in them work so hard.

It's like it totally consumes them.

They eat, sleep, and drink the
particular talent they have.

They practice all the time.

They train and train and train.

It's all they think about.

And everything they do is to
that end.

If they're not careful, their
talent can overwhelm their
lives.

Some have to force themselves
to remember how to enjoy
life as well as train.

That training should not overwhelm
them or take over their life.

There are other things in life
to participate in, such as family,
friends and other relationships.

They just can't forget how to
enjoy themselves and their lives,
or their talent will overshadow
even these important relationships.

They have to think of other things
besides training, or they will not
be balanced.

And that is hard for some of them.

It reminds me of borderline personality
disorder .

You know, if you let it, borderline
personality disorder can take over
your whole life.

And you don't want that to happen,
as I encourage you in my main course
and system - you need to be well-
rounded and balanced.

Just like an Olympic competitor,
many supporters of a loved one
with borderline personality disorder
have forgotten how to enjoy
themselves and their lives.

I don't want you to forget it.

If you have been feeling negative
feelings toward your loved one,
perhaps this is why.

Maybe you've forgotten how to
enjoy yourself with them.

Or maybe they are the one who
has forgotten.

Either way, it is important to
have joy in your life, or the
borderline personality disorder
might overwhelm you with all
its negative aspects.

It's especially important to
remember the good times when
your loved one is exhibiting
acting-out behavior.

It may be hard to do this in the
face of anger, rage, criticism,
blaming, etc.

But if you can think on the
better days, it will be much
easier to deal with the problem
days.

For example, try to remember
a really good time that you had
with your loved one when they
were in a normal period.

Now, hold onto that thought.

Keep that image firmly planted
in your mind.

Then the next time they are
acting out, purposely bring that
image to your mind.

It will not only help you see them
in a better way, but it will help
you to stay balanced as well.

In the face of the negative
aspects of borderline personality
disorder, you need something
to remind you that it isn't always
that way.

And that's hard when it's going
on, but you need to do it.

You also need to make it a
habit to do things that you
enjoy. Both as a couple and
on your own.

You need to have a social
life with fulfilling relationships
in it, aside from your loved one.

They may give you a hard
time about it, or even make you
double-think whether it's worth
it or not...

But if you don't stick to your
guns on this, your loved one's
borderline personality disorder
can overwhelm you.

You have to have other outlets,
other people, and other events
to keep you balanced.

Try to think of what you enjoy
doing most, and then do it.

Taking up a hobby can be very
rewarding and also help you to
stay balanced, for example.

Visiting with friends or family
can bring you not just joy, but
perspective as well.

Just don't forget to enjoy your
life!

Your Friend,

Dave
